| | | | Directors Heidi Bernhardt
Heidi is the mother of three boys with ADHD. She has a background in psychiatric nursing and is currently the National Director of the Centre for ADHD/ADD Advocacy Canada (CADDAC), a Director the Attention Deficit Resource Network (ADRN), the co-founder of OPPA, the Ontario Parent-Pediatrician Alliance and the Executive Director of the Canadian ADHD/ADD Resource Alliance (CADDRA). Heidi has helped educate parents and educators about ADHD by organizing workshops through the ADRN and has aided parents in advocating for their children with ADHD since 1994. Heidi has been involved in and spoken at many conferences, presentations and workshops and has been interviewed on television and radio about ADHD.
Dianne Azzarello
Dianne is a pharmacist, licensed in Ontario. She has been President of a consulting company that facilitates clinical research and new drug development in Canada on behalf of Canadian and American companies for the past 10 years. In addition, Dianne lectures at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto. Dianne is active on her local School Council and recently completed a parent satisfaction survey at the school. Her interests related to CADDAC include facilitating improvements in pharmaceutical care for Canadian children and educating teachers on new approaches to teaching children with ADHD/ADD.
Jane Hamilton
With more than 17 years experience as a journalist and in public relations and marketing communications, Jane has held senior positions in private and public institutions. Jane is the owner and principal of See Jane Run Communications, a public relations and communications company. In her consulting business, Ms. Hamilton works with clients in a variety of profit and not-for-profit sectors, including the healthcare, education, government and industry sectors. Jane holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Journalism from Ryerson University, in Toronto, Ontario; a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English from the University of Western Ontario, in London, Ontario; and a Master of Arts in International Journalism from City University in England. Jane first came involved with CADDAC as a consultant in 2006, assisting CADDAC with various public relations, advocacy and media initiatives. After her son was diagnosed with ADHD, her involvement changed from consultant, to volunteer, taking on an active role in assisting CADDAC advocate for those living and dealing with ADHD. | |
